Anointed Liturgical Dance

Mission Statement:
Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry is a moving expression of our Faith in the Living Word of God. It is an intense and vital expression of love, prayer, worship, and fear before God.

This ministry edifies the Body of Christ in glorifying God in the mist of Holy Celebration and motivates believers to join in worship and praise to the Lord.

We openly invite believers to respond to God with their whole being by moving beyond verbal expression into a deeper and fuller manifestation of their relationship with God.

As believers, we are sincere, confident, and spiritually discerned to offer God true praise and worship.

Purpose Statement:
1.     A Statement of the reason for Anointed Dance Ministry:
Anointed is comprised of young ladies that demonstrate the power of worshiping God through the beauty of movement.
2.     A guide that gives the ministry direction:
The direction of this ministry is CONSISTENCY.  Anointed will consistently praise God through dance during designated worship services, ministry programs and community events.  The ministry will also sponsor activities that will allow them to remain financially functional.
3.     A declaration of what is expected of those who work with Anointed Dance ministry:
Anointed Ministry leaders are expected to be devoted to God and to the Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry.  Ministry leaders are expected to be consistent, faithful, unwavering, and disciplined.  They are also expected to remain current with dance trends and dance trainings, so they can continue to provide current and relevant dance teachings.  Leaders are expected to remain prayerful and continuously seek God’s guidance with creating dances.
4.     A clarification of what is required of those who wish to become apart of Anointed Dance Ministry:
Young ladies between the ages of 10 -17 are required to attend an annual 3-day dance camp in which they will be taught  the various components of praise dancing and the expectations of the ministry. At the end of camp all participants, that are members of Regular Baptist Church, will be given the opportunity to perform for a position in the ministry.

The ministry also welcomes parents and others to be serve on in any capacity in the ministry. Anyone that has skills in sewing, organizing events, photography, and building props are welcome.

Key Questions:

Who is the Target?
The Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry seeks to encourage believers by openly worshipping God through the non-verbal expressions of dance. Through performances, the ministry also seeks to encourage non-believers by displaying its sincere, confident, and spiritual discernment to God through dance.

What is Needed?
The Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry feels that God has given them the special gift of dance (I Peter 4:10) to provided everyone with an avenue to offer worship and praise. They desire to use these gifts to assist and encourage everyone to further develop their relationship with God.

How Do We Meet The Needs?
Through dance, the Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry strives to develop and execute spiritually based dances that will not only offer true praise and worship unto God, but allow the ministry to express their edification to the Body of Christ.

What Resources Do We Have Available?
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the pastor, and spiritual advisors, the Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry relies on the capable, God given talents of its ministry leaders, parents, and dancers. In developing worship driven dances, the ministry utilizes praise and worship songs from different genres.

What is Our Plan of Action?
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the pastor, and spiritual advisors, the Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministry will execute praise to God through dance in worship services, ministry programs, and community events.

How Can We Measure Our Effectiveness?
The Anointed Liturgical Dance Ministries effectiveness is measured by its ability to display its love and dedication to God through dance. Also the ministries ability effectively guide worshippers into praise and glorifying God is also an indicator of its effectiveness.
