Missionary and Outreach Ministry

Mission
The mission of  Regular Baptist Church Missionary & Outreach Ministry is to be “A soul winning” church who believes and lives by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to aid and assist persons of special needs or circumstance. Providing spiritual and emotional  healing to members and non-members. This includes, but not limited to, the homeless, incarcerated, underprivileged, hungry, unsaved and the community as a whole.
Reaching out to all God’s children with love and winning lost souls for Christ, bring help, hope and healing to the body of Christ

Vision Statement
The Vision of Regular Baptist Church Missionary and Outreach Ministry ,  is to help reach all generations to Christ by demonstrating  God’s love. It is our mission to walk in his steps and doing the will of our Heavenly Father. A “ ministry” ordained by God, will reach and save souls impacting  lives and families in our immediate community  and around the world. The only way this can be done is by attending bible studies, prayer,  evangelism, working together  with all ministries of the church and helping  in our community etc.. With much support to our Pastor and the vision that God has given him ,( stay together in prayer for him and his family).

The Ministry goals are to provide food both (spiritual food), clothing, service and support to strengthen and lift the burdens of individuals who come in contact with the Ministry; as well as restore hope and faith in the word of God.

To help hurting people create a climate of evangelism. Activates include: feeding the Homeless, distributing meals to our Sick & Shut in and elderly in the community, visiting Prisons, cleaning, teaching God's word, nursing home visits, visit our sick & shut in, assisting other Ministries of R.B.C., Volunteering at 2nd Harvest Food Bank, New Orleans Mission and much more as God has commanded all to do; Matthew 25:35-46 just read his word daily. We all have a mission to do God's work winning lost souls to Christ.

How Do We Meet The Needs?
1.) Study the word of God in weekly and daily bible study, evangelize at  events, more prayer time with God, having more compassion                    towards those you are helping.
2.) Station a bless box in church foyer, keeping all matters of those in need with sincere confidence. This box should only have one Key and given to our Spiritual Advisors or Pastor for review.
3.)  Coordinate with our Deaconess Ministry to help and assist with their visits every 5th Sunday after 2nd service. Prayer is needed, and help from our Transportation Ministry to visit the nursing  homes. The elderly not in nursing homes and not able to attend any  church services, will get a visit monthly. The office staff can supply a list of names, address, and phone numbers. We can confirm our visit and offer our support.
4.) Support our local shelters by feeding, volunteer, donations of               clothing, cleaning supplies and provide spiritual literature for annual projects . Not sure of non members needs, only upon request.                                      5.)  Food donations, money, information regarding Food Stamps Assistance Program (SNAP) contact local Community Centers. Information for food banks, such as 2nd Harvest.

What is Our Plan of Action?
1. Stronger prayer life, read and study the bible more, live God's word, visible attributes fruits of the spirit, embrace the Pastor's Vision for Regular Baptist Church. Help Save Souls.
2.) Love every one, coming together in prayer, being   more                   committed to God’s work. Mission workshops, pray and commit , loyalty keeping all matters of the church in sincere Confidence. Preparing a clear proposal for Advisors/Pastor review, station a BLESS BOX IN CHURCH FOYER UNDER LOCK AND KEY/MINOR NEEDS . Advisors/Pastor’s review only. Missionary/Outreach will be given information concerning the need and assign persons to assist from their Ministry only.

3.) Visit our elderly in nursing homes and assist with their needs. Report to our  Spiritual Advisors for approval if those that are homebound need our help. Basic household duties only. Provide a scripture reading and prayer. Members of their family may add their names to our Bless Box and give us all information needed.
4.) Collect donations such as clothing, food, water and other needs. Direct those in major need to their local Community Centers, only                          when the church is not able to assist at that time (members & non                members).. Direct homeless to local shelters. Researching all local government agencies for various support  needed. Provide much spiritual mentoring and encouragement. Due to  abuse and other addictions, we’ll not be able to provide  monetary gifts. Those  persons will be directed to New Orleans Shelters. If needing a bath, we’ll need to get approval from our Advisors/ Pastor . Missionary/Outreach Ministry would need to meet with our Advisors going forth, we are not aware of all services that can or                                 cant be provided from the church’s standpoint.
5.) Bless Box for those in need of a meal/grocery . The thanksgiving                 Holiday we can prepare a full meal and serve to our church family, and maybe  some local families in need. Direct to our community                                 centers for food stamp applications (SNAP), food banks  such as  2nd harvest . Once a year RBC provides a full meal to help New Orleans Mission with National Hunger Month of September. We plan to provide snacks for RBC KIDS  summer breaks in the future if the Lord Say the same and approve. This would be a big help to many families and can be given out on 1st Sunday of each month.
6.) Outreach to our local community Leaders and Centers. Evangelize, pass out door knockers inviting our locals to worship services and                          special events. Come together with local community churches and support our boys and girls club in the area….
7.) Participate with other Christian groups.

How Can We Measure Our Effectiveness?
1.) Real Spiritual growth results in life change. You want to know, for each individual how they move from uninvolved to involved, from non givers to givers, from watching to serving. This is the evidence of spiritual growth & results in higher retention because people are engaged in Kingdom-building work, in their own hearts and in the lives of others. However we must make changes in order to see them.
2.) Feed back from those we have served. Their more engaged in  helping others in need and supporting  the ministry.
3.) Smiles on their face when they see us coming, both workers and  residence. When they hear us praying they will come out of their rooms to get prayer. Sometimes their waiting for anyone.
4.) Soul searching ourselves, that we are serving to give our best. When we can see others being bless once in need Not seeing the same people when we go out each time. Some are now serving others. Working as disciples and on a 12month program, drug free. Not seeing the same faces again, praying they have moved to a better way of life. Updates of them getting on housing.
5.) Reports things are better and/ or getting SNAP assistance. When you see smiles on their faces and their worship in service.
6.) New members, watching us on TV, sending their kids to VBS, attending Monday night prayer and bible study, Easter service, good comments concerning the church and Pastor.
7.) We no longer visit the Bridge City Corrections Center, however two of their employees currently members of RBC.
