Pastor's Itinerary

Senior Usher Ministry

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Senior Usher Ministry is to humbly great and seat all who enter the Lord’s house for worship.  We will respond to those in distress and insure that we are available to serve the immediate needs of the worshipers, whereby they may put their undivided attention on the ministering of God’s Word throughout the worship service

Vision:
Our vision is to be an essential component in providing an atmosphere during all services by which believers and seekers of Jesus can freely worship.  Our ministry will increase in numbers to allow us to always have an ample number of ushers to service our worship services in the event of any unavoidable absences.  We envision our Junior Ushers following in our footsteps as we set good examples for them.

Purpose Statement:
We take direction from Our Lord and Savior through the bible, our pastor and his vision, spiritual advisors and the Usher’s Guide.  Our purpose is to do God’s work by extending a genuine greeting, smile and handshake to all who enter the sanctuary.  To assist all visitors and members with seating, being alert of any special needs so as to serve and ensure that their worship experience is positive.  All ushers are expected to be ready and willing to serve at all times and abide by our by-laws.  We welcome new members to join us.  Requirements are that they be baptized believers in Christ and members of Regular Baptist Church.  They must love God and love people, have a pleasant sincere smile and be willing to accept their calling to serve.
The Senior Usher Ministry meets monthly to handle business and share testimonies on the Thursday before the 3rd
Sunday at 6:00pm in the Sunday School Bldg.  For more information please contact us.

Who is the target?
The target of our ministry is anyone seeking Christ; be it in the parking lot, entering the sanctuary or even away from RBC; where we live, work, shop or visit.

What is Needed?

We are needed to set the tone for what kind of worship experience a guest or member can expect.  We help smooth the path for a person to hear from God and grow in their faith.  We comfort, serve and minister.

How Do We Meet The Needs?

To meet the needs, we welcome our members and guest with a smile and a hug or handshake.  We make sure they are comfortable, both physically and spiritually by escorting and seating them, handing them the church programs, fliers, envelopes, providing fans, water and tissue as needed and having knowledge of the word to share when those occasions arise.  Also educating and directing on church policy.
